Pace Performing Arts Alumni Shine On Screen, Stage

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pace Performing Arts students garnered 15 nomination and 4 awards at the Planet Connections Theatre Festival this past month, as well as starred in the new HBO mini-series "Show Me A Hero."

Seniors Jamen Nanthakumar, won Best Music/Lyrics, Liana Wright-Mark, for Best Book/Lyrics, Katherine Wilkins, for Best Directing, and sophomore Selena Qureshi took home Best Leading Actress for their parts in the play "Elise."

The Planet Connections Festivity is New York’s premiere socially-conscious arts festival. The Festivity is designed to invoke the power of art in motivating philanthropy, community outreach and social change.

On the silver screen, Pace Performing Arts alumnus Dominique Fishback plays the role of Billie Rowan in the mini-series "Show Me A Hero," which documents the late 1980's housing crisis in Yonkers. The show premiered on HBO on Sunday and is slated to run six episodes.
