Pocantico Hills Passes School Budget, Re-Elects Rickles, Segal

POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. -- Incumbent school board members Fred Rickles and Emily Segal were re-elected to the Pocantico Hills Board of Education on Tuesday.

Pocantico Hills voters also passed proposed $29 million budget that maintains the current program while staying within the tax cap. It would raise the tax rate by an estimated 2.74 percent in Mount Pleasant and 4.27 percent in Greenburgh.

The budget received 112 'yes' votes and 42 'no' votes. A proposition to buy a school bus also passed, receiving 104 'yes' votes and 44 'no' votes.

Rickles and Segal both received 120 votes. Rickles and Segal will serve three-year terms.
