The data, provided by Degree Match, has students take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test (MBTI), considered the most common personality measure in the United States, said Jamie Bond, communications manager with Degree Match.

A student with the ESFP personality type would do well in the college's most popular majors at Purchase including visual and performing arts, liberal arts and sciences, general studies and humanities, social sciences, communication, journalism, and related programs and psychology, Bond said.

"The school is full of talented student dancers, musicians, actors, writers, and artists who showcase their work not only in Purchase, but also in New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond. Purchase is home to four nationally recognized arts programs supported independently by the School of the Arts," Bond added.

The School of the Arts provides professional training to emerging visual and performing artists and arts managers. Students are trained for careers in their fields and are inspired to become engaged and innovative contributors to society.

Nationally known instructors in the Conservatories of Dance, Music, and Theatre Arts, and the School of Art + Design “cultivate, nurture, and prepare students through rigorous and comprehensive studio practice informed by theoretical, conceptual, and historical study.”

The college’s newest unit, “Film and Media Studies” includes programs that inspire students to complete courses across areas and schools. All students must complete a senior project in the form of a research project, scholarly thesis, exhibition or performance.

The ranking considered overall cost of attendance, student to faculty ratio, total enrollment, inclusion on MBA ranking lists, and ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
