HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Hastings-on-Hudson resident David Sassoon and two other local University of Delaware students are spending five weeks overseas through the college's study-abroad program.
The other students are Allison Modica and Emily Shapiro of Ardsley.
Sassoon will be in Australia and New Zealand, while Modica and Shapiro will live in Budapest. They will pursue up to seven academic credits during the session.
More than 1,000 University of Delaware students will travel to 24 different countries this winter in the nationally recognized program. About 35 percent of undergraduate students study outside of the U.S. annually.
