GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- RJ Bailey School students worked with the famed Dance Theatre of Harlem last week to learn not only dance movement, but the history of dance and Black History.

Dance Theatre of Harlem teaching artists Theara Ward, Zalika Warren and Lettie Battle explained the African Diaspora to students and played dancing games to help students understand how the great migration of African Americans from the southern U.S to the Northeast impacted families, communities, and American culture.

The Harlem Dance Theater is an internationally recognized dance school and ballet company based in Harlem.
