Students are choosing colleges and have begun their search and application process for college scholarship opportunities. The Sleepy Hollow High School Laptop Scholarship Fund  is being continued by the newly formed Parents Advisory Council.

"The laptop scholarship helped eliminate a big financial burden for me and my family and helped me to not have to make that difficult decision between buying books or a laptop to assist with my college studies," said Jason Martinez, a 2013 graduate who is currently a sports management major in his junior year at SUNY Cortland.

Steven Bencosme, also a SHHS 2013 graduate and a psychology major in his junior year at Ithaca College, said receiving the laptop scholarship as he entered college "allowed me to get my work done, make connections and continue to achieve all my academic goals. It was a true blessing to have had earned that award. Without it, it would have been a real struggle to get a good quality laptop to use while attending college.”

The Parent Advisory Council is soliciting donations to help fund the scholarship fund. Any donation amount is appreciated. To make a donation, go to their website.
