Valhalla Alumna Brandi Coon Earns Place On MAAC All-Rookie Softball Team

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Valhalla High School alumna Brandi Coon was recently named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team.

Coon currently plays on Marist College's Red Foxes softball team and majors in computer in science. Her minor is accounting.

She graduated Valhalla High in 2015 and received an academic scholarship to Marist College.

Coon played varsity softball for five years and served as captain for three years. She received five all-league awards, four all-state awards and five all-section awards.

She was a New York State Top 10 leader in hits and doubles upon graduation from Valhalla. Coon was also selected as a Con Edison Athlete of the Week and played club softball for TC Tremors Gold Team.
