Valhalla Middle School Students Travel Back To Medieval Times

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Valhalla Middle School sixth-grade class culminated its unit on the Middle Ages with a field trip to Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, N.J.

Highlights included a history lesson by a "king and his noble court," at the location, which is an 11th Century castle-like space.

The trip enhanced the curriculum that students learned in the classroom by providing a "rich experience that was educational, entertaining and memorable," according to the district.

It also highlighted an emphasis on the connection between the Medieval concept of chivalry and Valhalla Middle School's focus on eliminating bullying.
