White Plains Voters Approve $208M School Budget

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Voters in the White Plains Central School District approved next year's proposed school district.

The $208.8 million school budget for White Plains Central School District was easily approved by voters on Tuesday.

The $208,750,000 spending plan for 2016-17 passed by a vote of 629 to 149, according to unofficial returns from the school district.

The budget as approved will grow by about 1.4 percent over the current year's school budget.

Next year's property tax levy will total $170,975,098, which is a 0.24 percent increase over the current school year.
