This was the first-ever Arts and Music Showcase of the Woodlands Life Skills classes. The district extended a special thanks to Donovan Guy and Adriano Jimenez for conceiving the program.
On Friday, Feb. 6, students in Kevin O'Donohue's class, under the direction of music teacher Brian Kennedy, presented a fabulous jazz concert in the auditorium.
Following the concert, the audience attended a beautiful art exhibit in the Frelow Center created by students in O'Donohue's and Fred Rooney's classes. Pieces were produced under the supervision of art teachers Mary Frances Perkins, Tara Peters and art therapist Valeria Koutmina.
Snacks that were really "food-art" were made by the same students with guidance from Home and Careers Teacher Adriana Parker.
