Woodlands' Hung Joining All-County Music Ensemble

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Emily Hung, an eighth-grade clarinetist at Woodlands Middle School, was selected for the Intermediate All-County Music Ensemble by the Westchester County School Music Association for its 2015 Intermediate Festival concerts on Saturday, March 14, at SUNY Purchase.

Hung plays the saxophone, clarinet and flute, and she is playing clarinet for All-County Band.

The Intermediate Festival includes students in grades seven through nine. Instrumentalists from all over Westchester County were chosen by WCSMA on the basis of auditions at last spring's New York State School Music Association Solo Festival, where they were required to perform a solo piece, sight-read and play scales.

The school district is proud of Hung's musical accomplishments and the honor she has been bestowed to represent the school district and community.
