What makes the accomplishment even more impressive is that the third- and fourth-grade squad did not score a touchdown through the entire 0-8 season last fall.

The team was featured in Wednesday's New York Daily News' "Mighty Quinn" sports column.

Mighty Quinn Fan Club Elmsford Chapter President Drew Watson, whose son Ryan is on the team, commended coach Frank Belarge and his assistants Steve Jones, Todd Mason, ROB Fraterrigo, Bobby Manzi, Jared Levy.

"The kids and coaches were incredible this season," Watson wrote to the "Mighty Quinn". "If we can have this turnaround so can Big Blue (New York Giants football team). May your deficits turn into profits."

The Robert Jacobson team:

Michael Belarge, Samuel Bencid, Justin Boehmer, Josh Burke, David Waites Cobleigh, Charlie Curtin, Jake Dillon, Vincent Fraterrigo, Jackson Garcia, Michael Hanney, Peter Johnson.
