Dobbs Ferry's Danny Crowe Makes College Baseball Debut

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Danny Crowe, a 2012 Dobbs Ferry High School graduate, made his Division 1 college baseball debut with Elon University in Elon, N.C. on Sunday, Feb. 16 and made an instant impact. 

The red-shirt freshman stepped to the plate for the first time as a pinch hitter and promptly ripped a double to help Elon defeat the University of Cincinnati in extra innings. Crowe went 1-for-2 on the day. 

The following day Crowe earned his first start, again against Cincinnati. He went 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and an RBI. 

Crowe started again on Tuesday, Feb. 17 against North Carolina State. He went 1-for-3 in Elon's 12-7 loss.
