Edgemont Girls Top Valhalla in Overtime

HARTSDALE, N.Y. – Victoria Catrini’s 3-point shot at the fourth-quarter buzzer tied the game and sent it to overtime and the Edgemont girls’ basketball team went on to defeat Valhalla 45-43 in the championship game of the Dave Kintsing Tournament at Edgemont High School Saturday.

Edgemont led 29-22 after three quarter before Valhalla used a 16-6 fourth-quarter run to force Catrini’s tying shot.

Shayna Davner led the Panthers with 16 points and teammate Katie Puhala scored 15 points and was named the tournament Most Valuable Player. Catrini added 11 points for the winners.

Hastings defeated Westlake 40-38 in the consolation game.
