Edgemont Youth Lacrosse to Host Two Jamborees

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The Edgemont Youth Lacrosse program will host two Jamborees at Edgemont High School in early June.

The first jamboree will take place from 9 a.m. to noon June 2 on the First, Flicker and Lower Fields of the school. One-hundred fifty third-grade and fourth-grade boys from Edgemont, Dobbs Ferry and Irvington will play in a round-robin tournament. David DePietto, who oversees the program, expects more than 150 fans to attend the event.

The second jamboree will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 9 on the same three fields. One-hundred eighty fifth-grade and sixth-grade boys will play in the round-robin tournament and DePietto expects more than 200 fans to attend.

More than 140 boys and girls in grades one through six take part in Edgemont Youth Lacrosse’s clinics and travel teams.
