ELMSFORD, N.Y. – Several Westchester golfers will participate in the 57th Ike Championship, presented by Canon Business Solutions at Atlantic Golf Club on June 25 and 26.

Mike Miller of Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, the 2011 Metropolitan Golf Association Player of the Year and Met Amateur champion, will travel to Bridgehampton to participate in the tournament, which was named after President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Briarcliff High School golfer Cameron Young, 15, who won the 2012 Hochster Memorial, will also play at the Ike Championship. John Ervasti of Sleepy Hollow adds to the list of Westchester participants.

The Ike Championship was first played in 1953, one year after Eisenhower became president, and the MGA bought the rights to the event in 1986. The tournament has grown in popularity through the years until it reached its present status as one of the most prestigious amateur golf events of the year. It draws more golfers than any other MGA individual championship.
