Elmsford Little League Wins New York State Championship

ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- The Elmsford Little League Seniors recently won the New York State Championship.

The Elmsford Seniors consist of 15 and 16 year old boys from Greenburgh. They are the first Elmsford Little League team to win the state title. 

After rallying from an 7-0 deficit to defeat North Tonawanda 8-7, the Seniors secured the title in the second game in a 10-4 victory. 

The team will now advance to the Eastern Regionals outside of Philadelphia. They will play against the New Jersey State Champions on Friday morning. 

The winner will then go on to play the national Seniors Little League World Series in Bangor, Me.
