Mother Nature dealt Westchester County a torrential downpour Tuesday, but the drenching rains did not wipe out the entire District 20 Little League tournament schedule. Four games were moved to Silver Lake Park because of its grass-turf field. In the 9-10-year-old baseball division, Harrison played Rye and Port Chester faced White Plains. The majors division game was Rye meeting Elmsford. The lone softball game was the majors division semifinal with Eastchester and Sherman Park playing for the right to face White Plains in the winners bracket final Sunday. Two majors baseball games were postponed to Friday -- Dobbs Ferry at Sherman Park and Harrison ar White Plains. The 9-10-year-old softball division throws the first pitch today with seven teams aiming for the title. The title game is scheduled for Thursday, July 7. If a second game is needed, the date, time and site are still to be determined. The three games scheduled for Friday are: Hastings vs. Sherman Park, 5:30 p.m., at Volunteer Field, Harrison travels to Ardsley for a 5:45 p.m. game and Eastchester plays Kensico at ORouke Field at 5:30 p.m. White Plains received a bye and will face the winner of Hastings-Sherman Park.
