Elmsford's Hamilton Boys Topped By Haldane In Section 1 Basketball

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Alexander Hamilton boys basketball rallied to within a point of the lead in the third quarter Monday before falling to Haldane (Cold Springs) 62-55 in the Section 1 Class C semifinals at the County Center.

The Alexander Hamilton boys got as close as 46-45 late in the game before falling to Haldane 62-55 in the Section 1 Class C semfinals.

Haldane will meet No. 5 Tuckahoe, a 59-57 upset winner over top-seeded Martin Luther King, Jr Friday in the Class C title game at 5 p.m.

Eli Sierra led Hamilton with had 21 points, including three 3-pointers in the second half.

Hamilton, the second seed, led 32-25 at halftime before Haldane (No. 3 seed) took the lead at 38-37 midway through the third and held on for the win.
