Greenburgh Edged by Scarsdale in Summer Swim Meet

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Scarsdale’s Jey Jiang, Denitz Atay and Bebe Thompson each won three events to lead Scarsdale to a 233-229 victory in the opener of the Westchester Swimming Association summer season Thursday. Jiang won the 25 freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly events for 8-and-under boys, Atay took the 10-and-under boys 50 freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly events and Thompson won three events in the 14-and-under girls’ events with first place finishes in 100 freestyle, backstroke and butterfly as Scarsdale won the meet 233-229 over Greenburgh.

Jazmine Smith won the 50 freestyle, 50 backstroke and 50 butterfly for 10-and-under girls, Kymani Senior took first in the 50 freestyle, backstroke and butterfly boys event for 12-and-under and Oliver Patrouch won the boys 100 freestyle, backstroke and butterfly events to lead Greenburgh.

Greenburgh’s Yelly Seck won the 8-and-under 25 freestyle and butterfly, Brianna Parkinson won the 50 free and butterfly for 12-and-under girls, Nikki Mille won both the 100 free and breaststroke for 17-and-under girls and Charles Barry took the 100 backstroke and butterfly events for 17-and-under boys.
