Greenburgh Tennis Team Wins Section Championship

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – The Jerry Alleyne Memorial Foundation Dropshots from Greenburgh won the Section Championship at the 2012 USTA Eastern Jr. Team Tennis Championships in Schenectady, N.Y.

The 18 and Under Intermediate team was among 24 squads vying in the tournament at Central Park and Union College on June 16 and 17. The Dropshots will compete at the USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Championships in South Carolina Oct. 26-28.

The other two Jerry Alleyne teams, the Slicers (14 and Under Intermediate) and Strike Force (12 and Under Intermediate), finished second in their respective divisions.

The teams are all co-ed and made up of a minimum of six players, three boys and three girls. Here are the full rosters for each of the three teams:
