White helped lead Stepinac to a 9-3 record and the Catholic Schools Football League AAA championship game n 2011. He played at Trinity Pawling prep school this past fall (2012) because his football eligibility expired at Stepinac.
American International is located in Springfield, Mass. and plays a Division II schedule.
White played quarterback, running back and receiver at Stepinac and defensive back and wide receiver at Trinity.
"Committing to AIC was a huge moment in my life and will be a wonderful memory," White said. "It's like knowing that all the hours you took out of your days and invested them into one goal has paid off. Giving up my weekends, just to work on my craft has got me where I am today. My faith in God has grown tremendously and I thank him for all that I have and don't."
"The coaching staffs at Archbishop Stepinac and Trinity Pawling School have helped me get through this process that we all know is stressful," White said. "My parents, family and friends have been nothing but positive energy when I needed it the most. "White was coached by Stepinac head coach Mike O'Donnell and his staff that included Joe Spagnola, who worked closely with White.
"Mark is an extremely dynamic football player," Spagnola said. "He cuts on a dime and can play anywhere from spread quarterback, to running back to slot receiver and return kicks and punts. He is one of the toughest and at the same time coachable players we have had at Stepinac. He was a was a good leader and a very hard worker."
White said he is looking forward to playing as an AIC Yellow Jacket and experiencing the college atmosphere in and out the classroom.
"Time to put the 914 (Westchester area code) on my back and let them know where I'm from," White said.
