Hamilton Girls Win First State Regional Basketball Title

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - The Alexander Hamilton girls basketball team is headed to the Class C State Final Four after defeating Friends Academy, 59-25, in the regional final Saturday at Adelphi University on Long Island.

Tiffany Corselli led the Red Raiders with 32 points, and Jasmine Robinson added 21 points as the Elmsford girls rolled to victory.

Hamilton, the Section 1 (Westchester, Rockland, Putnam) representative, will play Harpursville of Section 4 at 4:30 p.m. March 16 at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy in the state semifinals. The teams will play for a chance to advance for a Class C state championship. . Hamilton has been playing without Maia Hood, one of its top players who was injured and has missed the postseason playoffs.
