WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The Alexander Hamilton girls basketball express has one more stop before winning the Section 1 Class C title - a meeting Saturday with the Keio School at high noon at the Westchester County Center.

The Red Raiders steamrolled Haldane 57-40 in the semifinals with Ayanna Behagen and Maia Hood each scoring a game-high 20 points in the easy win.  Keio reached the championship game by topping Solomon Schechter 31-16.

Hamilton has beaten opponents by an average of 27 points per game with Hood scoring at a 23 per-game average.  Behagen and Jasmine Robinson add scoring depth and key the defense at the guard spots. Hood averages more than 12 rebounds per game.

Sae Toyomura, who scores nearly 11 per game in a low-scoring offense, leads Keio from the point guard spot. Misao Ishii adds scoring punch, but the Unicorns depend on a quick defense to keep them in games.

Hood will control the flow and the boards and Behagen and Robinson know how to finish their fast breaks and droves to the basket.

The game tips off at noon and Hamilton should be enjoying a celebration lunch shortly after 2 p.m.
