Loccisano Pitches Ardsley To Baseball Victory

THORNWOOD, N.Y. – Ardsley pitcher Brett Loccisano was economical in his outing Saturday.

The left-hander needed just 57 pitches to toss a complete game as Ardsley defeated Scarsdale, 9-2, in a losers bracket game of the District 20 Little League Baseball Minors Championship at Volunteer Field.

Ardsley will play Elmsford at 5:45 p.m. Monday at Pat Henry Field in Valhalla. The winner of that game advances to the losers bracket final at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Gedney Field in White Plains.

Loccisano, who was given a 4-0 lead after three innings, finished with eight strikeouts.
Luke Sokich doubled twice for Ardsley. Aiden Canfield tripled and scored in the second inning and singled in a run in the third inning. Billy Fon had two hits, including an RBI single in the second inning.
