Glascott, who was most recently a supervisor for school safety at Southern Westchester BOCES for two years, said he wants to create an atmosphere of pride in Greenburgh's athletics programs. He said he's looking forward to working with parents on the college recruitment process, and helping student athletes achieve their goals.

"We need to continue working on making the connection between students as scholars and as athletes," he said.

Greenburgh Central supports about 75 coaches a year, including 23 fall coaches, and a program that encompasses modified, junior varsity and varsity sports. Glascott said he’s excited about the district’s ability to compete this year, especially for the football program.

More than 75 percent of Woodlands High School students play at least one sport during the school year.

Before joining BOCES, Glascott worked for 16 years in the Poughkeepsie City School District, where he served for four years as principal at Poughkeepsie High School and three years as principal of Poughkeepsie Middle School. He began his educational career as a special education teacher in Poughkeepsie.

Since 2005, he has served as director and founder of Hudson Valley Express Lacrosse, and has served as head boys’ lacrosse coach at Harrison High School and as men’s head lacrosse coach at Marist College.

A resident of Poughkeepsie, Glascott is married to Danielle, a former teacher, and they have four children, three boys and one girl.
