Pace Falls to Adelphi in NE-10 Quaterfinals

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- The Pace Setters women’s volleyball team was defeated by the Panthers of Adelphi University 3-0 in the Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinals.

The Panthers (20-7) advanced to NE-10 semifinals on Friday, while Pace fell to 20-10 on the season and was eliminated from the tournament.

Hartsdale’s Tamilee Webb led Pace with nine kills, while Whitney Hilton (Channelview, Tx.) and Melanie Pavels (Valley Stream, N.Y) totaled seven kills each. Shea Hansen (Mesa, Az.) netted 21 assists and Pavels added 13 digs.

Pace, ranked sixth in the NCAA East Region poll, awaits a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The NCAA will announce the Division II field on Sunday.
