Tyrone Barber's Big Day Propels Woodlands Over Dobbs In Football Playoff

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Woodlands High School super back Tyrone Barber rolled up 301 rushing yards and four touchdowns Saturday to lead the visiting Falcons to a 39-14 victory over Dobbs Ferry High School in Saturday's Class C semifinals.

The defending Section 1 Class C champion Falcons (6-2) will play unbeaten Rye Neck (8-0) -- who defeated Bronxville 28-10 in Saturday's other semifinal game --,on Nov. 2  at 3:30 p.m. at Mahopac High School.

Barber scored twice in the first quarter for a 13-0 Woodlands lead before Dobbs Ferry (6-2) pulled to within 13-7 at halftime. The Falcons then scored the next 26 points and shut down the Eagles offense, allowing just one ore score.

Eagles running back Tim Soave had 123 yards rushing.
