The Team Image Synchronized Skating club enjoyed a successful weekend of competition at the Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships held in Hershey, Penn. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Team Image, which includes skaters from all over Westchester County, the Bronx and Connecticut, presented four lines - Senior, Novice, Juvenile, and Preliminary in the ESSSC event with the Senior and Juvenile lines qualifying for the Synchronized Skating National Championships that will be held in Worcester, Mass. Feb. 29 through March 3rd.
Team Image boasts skaters from Chappaqua, Dobbs Ferry, Bronxville, Hawthorne, Pelham, New Rochelle, Stamford, Conn., the Bronx, Scarsdale and Armonk.
Team Image has been active in synchronized skating for more than 24 years. The coaches are Head Coach Sylvia Muccio., Vicki Korn, Stacey Richmond-Orfini, Fiona Curry, Jessica Doherty, Stacy Isenberg and Kim Ann Schneider.
According to Jana Pisani, the team's spokesperson, team members have had the privilege of skating with several world renowned skaters and coaches during the past year, including Judy Blumberg, a five-time U.S. National Ice Dance Champion and World Bronze medalist.
