Woodlands High Basketball Benefits Cancer Cure

GREENBURGH, N.Y. – The Woodlands High School athletic department, the boys and girls teams and several other local teams joined Saturday to help raise funding for the American Cancer Society as part of a day-long Woodlands High School Breast Cancer Awareness Walk “Steps4aCure” and Girls Basketball Challenge.

The event, which was sponsored by the Falcons Nest Booster Club, “Steps4aCure” Co-Chairs and Woodlands High School juniors Niya Khan and Acacia Hines, and Woodlands Athletics, included an early-morning “Step4Cure” walk and a full day of boys and girls basketball games.

Woodlands High School and its contributors raised $600 to be donated to the American Cancer Society as well as $1,800 to benefit the school’s athletic programs and to sponsor the annual athletic awards night in June.
