ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- Former New York Yankees star Paul O'Neill will be the Grand Marshal of the Elmsford Little League  Opening Day Parade when the local baseball and softball league gets underway on April 13.

O'Neill, a five-time World Series Champion with the Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees, 1994 American League Batting Champion and former Rye Brook resident, will also throw out the first pitch of the season.

A fan favorite with the Yankees, O'Neill is now a YES Network broadcaster for Yankees games.

The Elmsford Little League opening day will also include the unveiling of the league's new 2,000 square foot clubhouse.  There will be a special ribbon cutting ceremony to recognize the event.

The Grady School Marching Band and the Elmsford Police and Fire Departments will accompany the players and coaches along the parade route, which will begin at North Stone St. just off of Route 119 in between CVS and the Senior Center at 10 a.m.

Players and coaches will line up for the start at 9:15 a.m. The parade route will move from downtown Elmsford south along Saw Mill River Road to the field.
