I used to worry about the same thing. I think that the chlorine levels are supposed to be brought down to be non irritating to dogs coats and eyes. If not, the dogs should probably be rinsed off thoroughly after their dip in the pool. View Comment
My cat is 15 year's old and an indoor cat. I got her when she was 4 weeks old, she was a stray and required a lot of care. I couldn't imagine having her outdoors possibly subjected to both animal and human predators. As far as the study being a waste of money, that's a personal viewpoint which may or may not be shared with others.

I don't disagree with what Elmer10511 is saying here. But, unfortunately, what should be entry level jobs for young people, is not always the case, oftentimes, some individuals supporting families have no choice but to take these entry level jobs paying a minimum wage, they do not have any skills, etc. So what's the answer? You can't make it on $7.25 and you can't make it on $8.50 either. And, as far as young people who take these jobs, some of them have real expenses and the minimum wage just doesn't cut it. That's wonderful Sophie. We need more people like you. Growing up in New York City, I remember picking up strays in Central Park with my mother and getting them to the vet, placing ads to have them adopted and screening adopting families as best we could. All the pets I have had in Katonah for the last 22 years have all been rescues. Thank you for doing your part! Bea View Comment
