This is very sad news! I never understood the model of encouraging people to sit comfortably and read for long periods of time at bookstores. There were always more people lingering in this store's magazine section than there were at the registers.
But overall, what is going on at the Crossroads Shopping Center? So many empty storefronts. I always wonder how the Kohl's Shopping Center in Port Chester (has some similar stores, but better anchors) maintains a full house, while Crossroads seems to have trouble keeping the stores it has. I thought HomeGoods would revitalize ut, but that doesn't seem to be the case. View Comment
Not to be a nudge, but why are none of the churches frim unincorporated Greenburgh included in this list? How about including Union Baptist, St Francis and St Martha, Full Gospel, the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Juniper Hill Road, the church on Edgepark Road? All sizeable churches with services this Lenten season, I would imagine? View Comment
Mr. MacLean is the kind of teacher every student should be so fortunate to have at some point in life. Wise, encouraging, inspirational and kind, he has been a blessing to legions of students -- and their parents. His dedication to student theatre has opened up opprtunities for so many, and has developed talents that students were unaware of. Thank you, Mr, MacLean, for everything! View Comment
In fact, posted just beneath this story is a link to another Daily Greenburgh story about Woodlands High School principal Ron Ross being named interim superintendent for GC 7. Please correct this in today's story. Thank you. View Comment
What is the meaning of "She teaches minority children in Yonkers?" She only teaches children who are in minority groups? I thought racial segregation among Yonkers' students was finally ordered to end in the 1990s? View Comment
