Remember when Andrew Cuomo put WestHelp in Greenburgh? He said that no criminals, drug addicts, or prostitutes would live there.
Within a month, the crime rate in the surrounding neighborhood went up 1000%, and the police were there every night arresting people on drug and prostitution charges. Yup, and that's what they want to bring to the upscale communities of Westchester. Thier isn't racism in the housing market, if a black family can afford to live in Bedford, then they can. If a Hispanic family wants to live in Rye, and can afford it, they are welcome to do so.
What the federal government wants to do is take local communities where housing is zoned to one or two acres per house, and they want to put in townhouses. They want to destroy our residential communities, and Bromson would give them every opportunity to do it..... View Comment
Everyone has a right to live in these towns, if they can afford to pay the same thing everyone else does to live in these towns. To say that poor people have a RIGHT to live in influential communities is a joke.
NO ONE has a right to live anywhere, unless they can make money and afford to live there...

My question is that if sustainable playland removes as many rides as they would like, revenue will decrease sharply. This group of wealthy Rye entrepreneurs are really doing this to control the noise and amount of "non-residents" coming into their town.
Will they be able to make the 1.2 million dollar payments for ten years when their income has decreased so sharply, or will they remove all the rides, file bankruptcy 3 years later, and leave Playland in shambles...
Hmmm... If you figure in the square milage of each city/town mentioned, Harrison is getting the short end of the stick.
Purchase St. in Purchase has gotten to the point where the road is more pothole patches then actual pavement... View Comment
So how come the Journal News isn't printing a map with directions to their houses, like they did to every legal gun owning American citizen in the area?
Oh yeah, these are the 1%ers that have money to sue them.... View Comment
What a blow-hard, standing up there on the podium, screaming and yelling like a lunitic.
NY has some of the toughest gun laws in the country. It takes up to 10 months to get a pistol license in Westchester County, that's the longest amount of time in the country!
NYC, along with Chicago and Detroit, have the toughest gun laws of any city in the country, and all three have the highest ILLEGAL gun crimes in the country!!
You can pass all the gun laws you want, but they only effect good, honest citizens. the criminals do not abide by the law.
Oh, and by the way, the 2nd amendment is not about owning a gun for hunting or target shooting. It is about allowing the citizens of this once great country to protect themselves from tyrants and an out of control government, kind of like the ones that stand on a podium screaming and yelling that they want to ban guns..... Great. The guy who doesn't give a damn about tax payers, but is always fighting for the people who live off the government, will win the next election by getting all the votes from the people who live off the government.
Just like obama.....
If it was up to Jenkins, Westchester residents wouldn't only have the highest taxes in the country, we would have double the taxes of the next highest county!!!!! View Comment
I think that before allowing a company to set up recycling bins, We should know what the company does with the stuff that is donated. Their are many veteran organizations that truly donate the stuff, while others clean it and resell it, making a profit. Also, who will police the bins to make sure they are kept clean?
We need to get back to work on a Verizon FIOS contract so Cablevision will no longer have a monopoly in our town... View Comment
