Feiner's failure to renew the lease at WestHELP costs the town $100,000 - so we are $2.4 million and counting. Fortress Bible will cost the town $7 million dollars. Citizens have a right to bring disputes to court. Why do they have to go to Court - because Paul Feiner told them - if you dont like what I am doing - sue me!!
Feiner is the problem not the problem solver. He committed perjury. He destroyed evidence (which is vastly different from a client failing to disclose evidence in a civil proceeding). He has to go and the sooner the better. View Comment
Your math does not add up. Where is the evidence that the Town's Attorneys received more money because of Mr. Bernstein's lawsuits - many of which were successful. If you are on salary you dont get extra pay if the work load gets a bit heavier. And the bulk of the work on Taxter Ridge case was handled by the attorneys for the villages. Oh, and I guess you never read the sealed affidavits did you? Kapica statements on Fortress Bible? - more Feiner lies! Cant you tell your candidate to stop lying!! You cant because that is his forte - lying, destroying evidence and violating the constitution of the United States and The State of New York. View Comment
Mr. Segal - how did you read affidavits that where filed under seal? Further, Bob's website has letters from the town's insurance company clearly saying there is no insurance for the illegal actions of the town in violating the constitutional rights of the Fortress Bible church. Are the letters false or is Paul lying? Did you get the mailing where Feiner quotes Police Chief Kapica that Fortress Bible's plans posed an insurmountable traffic problem? If so, please show me where in the Court decision which you claim to have read that Chief Kapica said what appears on Paul's mailer. Wait - dont bother. Because what Feiner claims is 100% false. In other words - he made it up. Oh, and where is the proof that Bob's lawsuits cost the town hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees when they were handled by the town attorney's office? Sir, in all candor you have lost any credibility by engaging in the same lies and smears that your beloved Paul Feiner engages in. Paul is a self serving self promoting con artist. Consider yourself part of the public that can be fooled all the time . View Comment
Seth - enjoy your alternative universe where Mr. Feiner is just the victim of those mean Federal judges who just dont understand him, where the pools will last forever and the parks are in pristine shape. The same alternative universe where MRH was an excellent choice to run the WestHELP facility, and giving money to the Valhalla School District was right (even if the Attorney General said it was illegal - he just doesnt understand Paul either). I guess you agree that Paul doesnt have to govern or supervise - he just has to issue his own press releases of all the good news coming out of Town Hall (do you remember "5 Million for Greenburgh"?). I suppose you also think it was fine for Feiner to run back in 1991 on a term limits platform but now that he has a taste of being in power for over 2 decades, he deserves more time in office to ..... finish the comprehensive plan that has been lingering for 5 years? I guess you are not bothered that Paul said nuns engaged in fraud without a drop of evidence or that he tried to deny Democratic party voters a choice. And you seem oblivious to the scores of people over the years who were supporters of Paul like Herb Rosenberg who once they saw how he really operated, abandoned him and now support Mr. Bernstein. Paul is clinging to power in a desperate and shameful way. His mailings are filled with personal attacks and outright fabrications including his big lie that insurance will pay for the Fortress Bible damages. You are free to be a true believer in Feiner because he stops by your neighborhood BBQ. I strongly suggest you get out of your comfort zone and read blog sites like A Better Greenburgh (Fulton Park area) or the Manor Woods blog (covering Hartsdale in part) and see how poorly Paul Feiner has treated your neighbors. Greenburgh is broke in more ways than one and yes, its time to fix it. The fix is spelled Bob Bernstein. View Comment
Seth, which Paul Feiner are you talking about? The one who violated the constitutional rights of the Fortress Bible Church by destroying evidence and using fabricated traffic studies? The one who a federal district judge found not credible on the witness stand? 22 years is longer than FDR served. Enough is enough of Feiner's governing by press release. His financial and legal recklessness at WestHELP, Frank's Nursery, Valhalla, the tree case... the list is endless, mandate his retirement. Feiner supervises nothing. From the courts to the library to water department, Feiner has been asleep at the wheel. He cons people with the exotic like the Tappan Zee bridge and Indian Point. His "central park of Westchester" - Taxter Ridge - well, its address is not even on the town's website. And if you can find it, there is no place to park. The other parks, they have decayed under Feiner's watch. The town pools are out of compliance with the county health code. They are beyond their useful life - what has Feiner done ? Nothing. Zero. Nada. Paul is the problem not the problem solver. He has overstayed his welcome. Paul is all talk and no action. The dangerous Ardsley Road and Sprain Road intersection - Paul has done nothing other than to take money from Toll Brothers whose megamansions will make that intersection worse with three car garages. Triple A bond rating? What did Paul have to do with that? and what use did he put it to? None. The town's infrastructure is in deplorable shape. The Town's response to Hurricane Sandy was pitiful. Ashford Avenue bridge - the worst in the County - Paul has never called on Westchester County officials to fix it. Instead he joined Rob Astorino in trying to demolish the WestHELP buildings all in service of his masters in Valhalla.
Every village has professional management. Why not Greenburgh? If we had a manager with engineering and budgetary experience instead of the career politician like Feiner, many of the mistakes that are costing us millions could have been averted.
Your personal attacks on Mr. Bernstein are McCarthylike. Where is the proof of any of your allegations regarding Valhalla and the Celanese lawsuit? All smears. And all lies.
You want proof of Feiner's corruption - read the district court decision in Fortress Bible. A public servant that violates their oath not to violate the constitution is not fit to serve the public. Thats Paul Feiner.
Oh, remember the 7 minute meeting Paul had on the capital budget? or his claiming that nuns lied ? Or his seeking to deny voters a choice. This is who you support??
I suggest you read the letter by former Feiner supporter Herb Rosenberg who now supports Bob as to Feiner 's mendacity and tendency to lie and fabricate. Its time for a change from the Feiner shtick - we can no longer afford his gadfly antics. Bob will restore competence and civility to town affairs. He will make decisions on their merits and not based on campaign contributions. Greenburgh deserves better than Paul Feiner who is clinging to power. I trust you will reconsider. We need change after 22 years. Change is spelled Bob Bernstein.
Paul Feiner is minding nothing other than his self deluded claim of being a problem solver when in fact he is the problem. 22 years of one person being in office (longer than FDR!) is extremely unhealthy for a democracy. Mr. Samis is right - Feiner should run on his record - one of total incompetence. View Comment
It should be noted that Mr Bernstein worked with Village resident Herb Rosenberg to recover that money for all taxpayers of Greenburgh - village and non-village.
Mr. Bernstein has also worked tirelessly to stop the destruction of the WestHELP property which Mr. Feiner has allowed to fall into ruin. Feiner doing the bidding of his Mayfair-Knollwood masters has cost all town taxpayers $12,000,000! View Comment
Seems Mr. G is taking lessons from the character assassins on the Town Board including career politico Paul "22 years is not enough" Feiner. Seems Paul is trying all sorts of ways to get the voters to avoid the long overdue referendum on his failed record and how he has become the problem that needs to be solved in Greenburgh. Feiner doesnt do government - he does politics. Samis is the proverbial red herring. Same for Edgemont incorporation. Feiner's turn in office must end. We need to bring back competence and integrity in Town government. We cannot afford more WestHELPs ($12,000,000.00 loss to taxpayers, Fortress Bibles ($5-7,000,000.00 loss) and the ongoing shenanigans at Frank's Nursery where Feiner once again engages in bid rigging and subjects the Town to endless litigation. Feiner is a disaster whose only skill is issuing press releases. Bernstein is a serious candidate. Feiner is a desperate bitter ender who will do anything to garner votes including cozying up to his masters in Mayfair - Knollwood. View Comment
You are about 60 years too late. in the mid 1950s Hartsdale had a chance to join with Edgemont to build a new High School. Hartsdale refused and has been suffering ever since. Hartsdale is a hamlet and the name of a train station Its chances of becoming a village or leaving Greenburgh are less than zero. View Comment
Like bringing back gun shows to Westchester County? Like indulging his friends in Mayfair Knollwood to destroy 108 units of affordable housing?
Like ignoring our infrastructure needs to rebuild bridges and roads? Like his failing to work with the Federal monitor overseeing the HUD settlement? Like borrowing funds to cover operating expenses? You cannot fool all of the people all of the time Rob. View Comment
Mr. Samis is right. Its time for Mr. Astorino to grow up, get behind the Settlement and fire his close advisors who keep feeding him the kool-aid that will lead to a Ken Jenkins victory. Memo to Rob - Westchester is no longer Mayfair-Knollwood.
A request that the developers look at the u-turn one has to make when leaving costco (going up stew leonard drive) as well as the no left turn exit from home depot was sluffed off. The u-turn is quite dangerous right now and should be looked at today. This has nothing to do with
Nimbyism - its a safety issue. View Comment
