GREENBURGH, N. Y. -- Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said officials are "overjoyed" at news that biotech company Regeneron Pharmaceuticals plans to double the size of its Greenburgh research and development center by adding more than 1 million square feet of building space, lohud.com reports.
Regeneron officials unveiled plans this week for a 10-year expansion that adds more than 1 million square feet of building space and includes nine buildings and parking structures at the 555 Saw Mill River Road. Officials are looking for site-plan approval from Greenburgh so the 30 acres is ready for building, lohud.com reports.
Feiner estimated the project would bring in $7 million to $8 million to town coffers in permit fees alone. He also said property values would increase as Regeneron employees look to move into the area, lohud.com reports.
