Greenburgh Parks And Recreation Presents Spooktoberfest

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The town of Greenburgh's Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that its annual Spooktoberfest family event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, from noon to 4:30 p.m., (rain or shine) at the Hart’s Brook Park on Preserve, 156 Ridge Road in Hartsdale.

Spooktoberfest is the ideal family-oriented event where children can get their face professionally painted, climb on the inflatable slide and obstacle course, take a hay ride through the woods, visit with the animals from the Greenburgh Nature Center, and be entertained by musicians, clowns and jugglers.

David Engel will be once again be doing his “Pirate School” performance as highlighted recently in the Journal New’s Lifestyle section. New additions for 2014 include Mario the Magician and live music by Greetings from Everywhere in the food vendor area.  Tickets are $5 per person and children under 2 years old attend free!

Here  is the entertainment schedule:

DJ Peter: noon to 4:30 p.m.

Greenburgh Nature Center Petting Zoo and Apple Press: noon to 3 p.m.

Greetings from Anywhere Band: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Confetti Clowns: 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. 

Mario the Magician: 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

Jennie Berkson, musical entertainer: 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Ned Gelfars, comedy juggler 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“Pirate School” featuring David Engel: 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. 

All parking and ticket sales for this event will be at Ridge Road Park, which is directly across from the Hart’s Brook Park and Preserve. Shuttle buses will be available to the event.
