Learn About Babysitting At Peekskill's Field Library Workshop

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Tweens and teens are invited to learn the basics of babysitting on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Peekskill’s Field Library.

The free workshop for boys and girls in 5th through 12th grades is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library, located at 4 Nelson Ave. Registration is required.

Participants will learn about their rights and responsibilities, the parents’ role, safety and emergency issues, and play. Those completing the workshop will receive certificates.

Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided.

The workshop is being underwritten by a grant from the H.O.P.E. For Youth Foundation, an organization that supports Hudson Valley youth programs that foster healthy growth and positive achievement
