GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Elizabeth Oakes is a seventh-grader at Dobbs Ferry Middle School and the Chopped Junior Nation Champion. Competing on the Food Network's "Chopped" had been a dream of hers since she watched her first episode at five-years-old.

When she received the call that she was going to be on the first season of "Chopped Junior," she could not wait to cook in the "Chopped" kitchen.

In recognition of her accomplishment, the Greenburgh Town Board will honor her before its Wednesday night meeting.
