GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh psychologist Benita Louise Weiss Dolin, Ph.D., died peacefully on Oct. 29 at her home of 45 years. She was 75.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, she worked as a fashion designer for several years. She went on to earn a bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree in psychology from Fordham University.
Dolin practiced psychology at her office in Elmsford along with her husband Dr. Bernard Dolin for many years. Said by her family to have turned the lives of her patients around to allow to achieve a contentment, she raised two daughters who both became physicians.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Bernard Dolin, her daughters Dr. Pamela Dolin Mitamura and Dr. Daniele Dolin DeMattia and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
