A Toys for Tots partner, Greenburgh maintains a toy drop box in the lobby of Town Hall and at firehouses in Fairview and Hartsdale, according to Feiner.

“Many mothers and fathers are down on their luck at this time and could use a helping hand,” Feiner said a statement widely distributed in the town. “By teaming up with Toys for Tots, the Town of Greenburgh is asking you to donate a new, unwrapped gift for a child in need. Let's help these parents be heroes in the eyes of their children and help Toys for Tots achieve their primary goal: to deliver, through a new toy, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”

Toys for Tots, a charitable effort run annually by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, serves all children from newborns up to 18-year-olds, according to Feiner, who said that gifts aimed at teenagers are in particularly high demand.

Greenburgh Town Hall is located at 177 Hillside Ave. Click here to locate other drop-off sites.
