Greenburgh Police Arrest Suspect In Connection With August Burglary

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - A White Plains man was charged with second-degree burglary Wednesday in connection with the theft of electronic equipment, video games and cash from the same apartment building where the suspect lived, according to a police report.

The robbery took place in August 2012 at an apartment building at 70 Virginia Road in White Plains, which is Serrano’s home address. The suspect gained entry to the neighboring apartment through a window, the report said.

Nicholas Serrano, 21, was identified from fingerprints found at the scene, the report said. Greenburgh Police, who have jurisdiction over that section of White Plains, arrested and charged him Wednesday with second-degree burglary, a Class C felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Greenburgh Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $2,000 bond. He is due back in court Friday at 9:30 a.m.
