GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Town Board has unanimously approved a resolution recently creating a Health Care Advisory Board, according to a recent press release.
The Town Board believes that there is a need for a local community committee that will act as liaison to the Town Board and work on scheduling public events addressing healthcare issues and, facilitate good health and well-being among town residents. The mission of the local advisory committee will be to promote healthcare advances among all age groups and to help residents stay abreast of recent studies and advances in healthcare, which could aid in promoting good health among diversified groups.
The local advisory committee will also conduct and recommend educational programs that will increase good health and well-being of town residents. The committee will also provide residents who have health related problems the ability to discuss their problems with other neighbors who have experienced similar health scares. The committee will also seek to provide those who face medical decisions with uplifting stories from neighbors who successfully have undergone similar procedures with success.
