Homeless Man Gets 25 Years After Pushing College Student In Front Of Train

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Howard Mickens, a 40-year-old homeless man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder after he pushed a Hunter College student in front of an oncoming train last year and will serve 25 years in prison,  according to a report by LoHud.com.

Mickens admitted to pushing the student, Maya Leggat, onto the Metro-North Railroad tracks on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, the report said. 

Leggat is reported to have survived the incident but suffered injuries.
