Daley was arrested by New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne barracks charged with endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment in the second degree and reckless driving.

Police said the arrest is the result of a lengthy investigation into a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Nov. 26, 2013 on the Sprain Brook Parkway. Daley, while traveling northbound on the parkway at an excessive speed, lost control of his 2005 Nissan Altima and subsequently stuck a tree, police said. Daley's daughter, Aniyah Daley, a rear-seat passenger, died as a result of the crash, police said.

The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.

Daley was arraigned in the City of Yonkers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.  He is scheduled to return to Yonkers Court on Tuesday, May 12.
