GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Town Board is currently in the process of reviewing the Scoping Document related to 'The Jefferson', a 272-unit multi-family residential proposal on Lawrence St.
The Scoping Document was originally circulated as a draft by the Town Board on Nov. 30. Since that time, the Town Board has held two public scoping sessions -- Jan. 13 and Feb. 10. At those meetings, numerous comments to the draft scope were received from residents, neighboring municipalities, the Ardsley School District and others.
Up until the close of the written record for the scoping session on Feb. 24, many additional written comments were received. According to Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, each comment received, has been received and reviewed by the Town Board and referred to the Town Board’s consultant -- Ferrandino & Associates, Inc. -- for consideration.
The Scoping Document remains a draft and is scheduled to be accepted by the Town Board on March 23. The current draft scoping document has been significantly updated to incorporate many of comments received. "Prior to the March 23 Town Board meeting, I intend to meet with Village Officials and the school district to answer questions they may have on the updated draft Scoping Document. If you have any questions, concerns please let me know," said Feiner.
The scoping document determines what issues will be studied and will form the basis for the subsequent Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) related to the project. Once deemed acceptable for public comment, the DEIS will be released and will be the subject of future meetings to receive public input.
The updated scoping document is attached below.
