HARTSDALE, N.Y. - Dorothy Blanche Wilcox of Hartsdale died April 7. She was 88.
Wilcox was born in Greenfield, Mass., to Leonard and Sarah (Crawford) Wilcox, she later moved with her family to Sleightsburg. She graduated from Kingston High School in 1942 at age 16. She earned her Nursing degree from Kingston Hospital in 1946. After working in hospitals for several years, she went into private nursing. She later left nursing and began a career in real estate, working for Weichert Realtors.
Wilcox is survived by her sisters, Annabelle Wilcox and Leone Wilcox; brother, Lawrence Wilcox; nieces; and grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Irving Wilcox.
At Wilcox's request, a private cremation was overseen by Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes at Ferncliff Ceremony in Hartsdale.
