WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A Greenburgh man was in possession of heroin when he was caught attempting to sell marijuana to a pair of Irvington teenagers earlier this week, police said.

The Irvington Police Department said Thursday that 26-year-old Dante Taylor was arrested with nearly an ounce of marijuana and two bags of heroin during a Wednesday afternoon drug bust.

According to police, shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, members of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force arrested Taylor after interrupting a drug sale involving two teenagers under the age of 18.

During the bust, police reported that they seized Taylor with approximately 28 grams of marijuana and the bags of heroin. He was transported to the Irvington Police Department, where he was charged with felony charges of criminal sale of marijuana to a minor, criminal sale of more than 25 ounces of marijuana and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Taylor was arraigned and transported to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $3,000 bond. The two teenagers, whose names were not released, were returned to the custody of their parents.

Taylor is due back in court on Monday, Feb. 6.
