Be on the lookout for potential scammers possibly posing as Con Edison employees.

Officers from the North Castle Police Department were dispatched to a Bedford Banksville Road home shortly before 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, where there was a caller from a local resident reporting a suspicious man who alleged to be an employee of Con Edison, asking to look around.

The homeowner told police that he thought the incident was suspicious, and he was able to provide a license plate number of the red Mazda the possible fraudster drove to the house in.

Police said that the suspicious man left without further incident in an unknown direction after being rebuffed by the homeowner and asked to leave. Responding officers did a canvas of the area, but did not find the suspect or his Mazda.
