Suspect Wearing All Black Flees On Foot After Central Avenue Bank Robbery

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - A man dressed all in black walked out of the TD Bank in Scarsdale Friday afternoon with an undisclosed amount of cash after threatening a teller with a gun, police said.

Greenburgh officers, who responded to the noon robbery in about 30 seconds after receiving the call, were unable to catch the man who entered the bank at 824 Central Park Ave. and presented a note to a teller demanding money and threatening the use of a firearm that was not displayed, said Lt. Frank Farina.

The suspect has been described as being Hispanic, approximately 5-foot 6-inches with black sunglasses. Officials said he made off with an undisclosed amount of money before taking off on Old Army Road. 

Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation are currently on the scene with Greenburgh detectives.
